Synopsis: A man is struggling to make sense out of a series of peculiar events that happen to him. He asks for help to his psychiatrist but she is no use. He ends up down the river. As he keeps exploring he slowly discovers a new himself. Feeling the irresistible call from the water running toward the sea he follows his inner nature. Il Silenzio del Mare tells the story of someone who struggles to feel in tune with his inner spirit but nevertheless slowly learns how to embrace change. It’s the story of a life-changing decision in the making, a declaration of independence.
Director: Tito Sacchi
Tito Sacchi has worked in advertising and digital media for more than a decade. He originally trained as a designer and photographer in Italy and over the last few years he has covered a number of senior creative roles in Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, the US and the UK. While studying for an MA at Central St Martins College in London he began collaborating on a number of film projects with some of his associates. His directorial debut, Lucy (2007) is a touching story of loneliness, passion and music that he co-wrote and co-produced. Another short film Not yet (2009) is currently on the international festival circuit. Both films have been screened and selected in a number of international festivals, Venice Circuito Off, Concorto Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, and Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya.
