Synopsis: The stay in the asylum seekers hostel, which has lasted for over a year, has been a wearing and exhausting time. After both of the Iranian parents receive their work permits, they are in hope to start leading a normal life again. But these hopes founder when father Omid Afarid is not granted the German license to practice as a doctor. Instead of giving up, Dr. Illegal starts searching in his surroundings for patients. Treating his cases illegally, Omid puts his family at risk. If the aliens department get to know about Dr. Illegal´s activity, Omid and his family will be deported.
Director: Hadi Khanjanpour
Born 1982 in Iran, concluded his drama studies in 2012 at the Academy of Performing Arts
Baden-Württemberg.
He participated in the ZDF-productions “Lena Fauch” (Director: Kai Wessel) and “A strong
team" (Director: Thorsten Näter).
In 2009 he was awarded the Youth Prize of the Hessian Theatre Day in Marburg. For his first
directorial work “Moment of Truth”, he received the 2011 Audience Award at the 5th Iranian
Theater Festival in Heidelberg.
Currently, Hadi Khanjanpour works as theater and film director.
