Firat Yucel

While he was studying Sociology at Boğaziçi University, Fırat Yücel edited the programme booklet of the Mithat Alam Film Centre. Then he co-founded Altyazı Monthly Cinema Magazine, in 2001, and started to work as the magazine’s editor in chief. In addition to Altyazı, he published film reviews in several magazines and newspapers.

After completing his masters in Cultural Studies at Bilgi University in 2006, Yücel served as a member of FIPRESCI jury at Istanbul, Rotterdam, Bratislava and Festroia (Setubal) film festivals.

Fırat Yücel, a member of SİYAD (Cinema Writers’ Association), is currently studying his doctorate at the Radio-Television and Cinema Department of Istanbul University and continues to work as the editor in chief of Altyazi, which is now published by Boğaziçi University Mithat Alam Film Center.


PAVEL KOSTOMAROV
cinematographer, director

Pavel Kostomarov

Pavel Kostomarov was born in 1975 in Moscow, Russia. In 2003 he receives degree as cameraman from VGIK (State Institute of Cinematography), Moscow.

He worked on many films as a cameraman and director of photography for S. Loznitsa, V. Manski and A. Utschitel (The halt, Broadway – Blacksea, The settlement, The walk, Summer Garden, The Museum of Marine, Portraits).

Pavel was awarded numerous prizes among them Silver Bear at Berlinale 2010 in cathegory of Cinematography for his camera work in Alexei Popogrebsky´s Kak ya provel etim letom/ How I Ended This Summer. On October 2010, Pavel became the first winner of the Franxesco Miziano award “For a contribution to world cinematography”.


SANNA KYLLÖNEN
festival programmer, journalist

Sanna Kyllonen

Sanna Kyllönen (born 1976) studied history of film and media culture as well as cultural and women studies at the universities of Tampere and Helsinki. In her Master's thesis she explored the complexity of defining short film be it within esthetic terms, context of production and/or exhibition.

She's been working at Tampere Short Film Festival office 2006-2012, mainly in public relations department. Since 2008 she's been a part of the selection committee for international competition in Tampere.

Along the years, she has published film critics and articles on film industry, aesthetics and ethics. From March 2012 on, she works as a legislative assistant to a member of parliament. However, she will continue programming for Tampere Film Festival.


SNEJINA LATEV
multidisciplinary artist, production designer

Snejina Latev

Snejina Latev was born in 1981 in Bulgaria and now lives and works in New York for more than 9 years. She graduated as a bachelor of Fine Arts in Rhode Island School of Design in 2003. Snejina's professional experience is related to the music channel VH1 where she works as On-Air Senior Designer/Art Director.

Among her selected filmography as producer and production designer are the titles: Ima Nema; The Kook; Bedwetter; Pattern-Seeking Mammals; Touching.

Directed music videos: Diver (Lemonade), Small Deaths (e Dodos), Fangela (Here We Go Magic), Tunnelvision (Here We Go Magic), Water Curses (Animal Collective).

She has also worked on many exhibitions among which are: Brucennial 2012, group exhibition - New York, NY; The First Truth, video program, Big Screen Plaza, NADA Art Fair - Miami, FL; Replica2, group exhibition - Paris, France; You Can’t Die in the Sky, group exhibition, Eastern District Gallery - Brooklyn, NY; Brucennial 2010, group exhibition - New York, NY; Nature Revealed, project space, Proyectos Monclova - Mexico City, Mexico.

VLADAN PETKOVIC

Vladan Petkovic

Vladan Petkovic (born 1978) is a Belgrade-based freelance journalist, film critic, translator and festival programmer. He is the Balkan correspondent for Screen International and Cineuropa.org, a member of the International Press Academy and regularly writes film reviews, industry news and festival reports for several international websites and magazines. He is the programme director of International Film Festival Kratkofil Plus in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina and programme advisor to various film festivals and distribution companies.
